Volume 2 - Chapter 3

Behold, the masses (Their identities shall be concealed for their own
protection):

Topic: NBC's Golf Tournament Pledge of Allegiance

-Morgan H.
"the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion" -- treaty of tripoli. one of the writers of the treaty of tripoli was george washington. if anyone does even a little bit of research you can see that many of the "founding fathers" were against christianity.

this is not a christian nation. there are many other religions and people with a lack of religion in this country. would people have them be deported? the constitution does not mention anything about supporting religion, in fact it says just the opposite saying that no religious tests shall be administered.

christianity has had its hayday of destruction in the world and because of it millions of men women and children have been assaulted and murdered. the ethics described in the bible are atrocious and far from ever could christianity be considered the origin of morality.

and to top it all off, there is no evidence that the jesus character ever existed. it's all hearsay from people who never met the character. and the bible is not valid evidence as it contains a plethora of fallacies.

it is because of secular society that we have eliminated slavery, which the bible says is okay. we have also a democracy that gives people the right to free exercise of speech and practice of their beliefs.

and besides, under god was first put in the pledge in the 50s along with in god we trust on the currency. this was because of the fear of communism.

so when you feel that well of anger rise in you because someone thinks differently, as yourself if that's what an ethical person would do.

if this god thing were so great, there's no need to avoid tv stations because if it is as powerful as people would like it to be it would hardly be insulted.
-Maryann A.
NBC---thinks that it is above any of the above statements made. It is time for the viewers to show NBC that we will not watch the programs. This is so unfair to us who try so hard to be good parents.
-Will C.
The funny thing, NBC has moved on from this. Most of you haven't (I've been told that not all of you are Christians who are upset so I can't really place it all on them, but you know who you are). I for one will keep watching the few shows on NBC I watch now, and still purchase from their sponsors, and the NBC Universal DVD's that I want in my collection.

Enjoy being hurt about something that they are allowed to do because of the 1st amendment of the US Constitution.

Damn if I won't fight and die for your right to say what you will about NBC and your God, but I would also do the same for NBC in this matter. I've seen people in this and other threads call NBC unpatriotic, NBC seems to be the only ones that are patriotic allowing you to keep speaking like this on their boards, mostly in anger and hate. Remember this is their board they can delete any discussions they want. They want you to have the 1st amendment right which you seem to not want to give them......you call them unpatriotic? I'm looking at it the other way around and seeing you as unpatriotic.

Before I get called a liberal for speaking my mind, I'm just going to put a joke out there now, and say I'm not a Liberal, I'm a commie pinko!
  - Morgan H.
aww. it's really funny to see christians acting like victims. when they have had millions of victims in their history. for two thousand years christianity has foisted itself on people and when they didn't go along with it they were killed or converted.

so boycotting nbc because they show the secular quality of the constitution, the secular desire that our founding fathers wanted is a sad petty thing to do. the founding fathers would be repulsed at the religiosity of many americans. and there is a strong correlation between religiousness and a lack of education.

america will never ever be a christian nation, not as long as there is one jew, or one muslim, or one hindu, or one buddist, or one atheist in it.

and if the mob mentality wants to "send this person out of america" they would have done the same thing to the secular founding fathers if they were alive today.
-Chris S.
we need to get by to wart made america graet however we need to pray for the nbc leaders that thay will come to know jesus as there saver if not we have faild god we pray for thso hu we dissagree and for our enmey so pray for theme and bless theme becase wan we pray god bless for praying and he really pleas wan we prays and bless thso that its hard to pray for

Our mission is to re-establish the presence and influence of the Bible into American public schools.

"Join or Die"
"Join or Die"

Everyone seems to use this kind of mantra in regards to religious topics.

That sounds more like Nazi or Stalin-like propaganda to me.

"Believe or burn in Hell"

"Believe or burn in Hell"

America was built on the freedom to choose, especially in regards to religion.

It seems we haven't learned from the "Burn the witch" motto from so long ago, and its 2011.

Shame on us...
-Jan P.
wow there really are people like will and morgan and yes we all make our own choices
-Tim E-fat Smith
There are tons of people "like will and morgan" who live normal lives using Free Thought & Logic to motivate themselves.
Unfortunately, money talks in our Capitalistic society, and religion has managed to influence our American way of life.

Seems kinda petty and narrow-minded to judge others who don't fall in line to conform to populous beliefs.

Definitely opposite of most Christian values I've been introduced to.

"Turn the other cheek" and move on.
-Jan P.
oh i didnt judge you no different than you are judging us!!!!
-Tim E-fat Smith
We're on page, what now, page #11 on this topic?
I've lost count of all of the people casting "Shame on NBC" and wagging their finger back and forth.
People love to form mindless mobs to spread hysteria and judgment.
This linked mentality is easily comparable to the "Burn the witch" mindset.
It shouldn't matter, NBC and the other pagans will be "going to hell" anyway right?
Again, "Turn the other cheek" and live progressive lives.

Bachmann says she's "Hot" for God!

Amen, please be sure to place a dollar in the box!

Be sure to sit and stay and listen to her husband's seminar on how to deal with the Barbarians:

A note of appreciation from the rich

Let's be honest: you'll never win the lottery.

On the other hand, the chances are pretty good that you'll slave away at some miserable job the rest of your life. That's because you were in all likelihood born into the wrong social class. Let's face it — you're a member of the working class. Sorry!

As a result, you don't have the education, upbringing, connections, manners, appearance, and good taste to ever become one of us. In fact, you'd probably need a book the size of the yellow pages to list all the unfair advantages we have over you. That's why we're so relieved to know that you still continue to believe all those silly fairy tales about "justice" and "equal opportunity" in America.

Of course, in a hierarchical social system like ours, there's never been much room at the top to begin with. Besides, it's already occupied by us — and we like it up here so much that we intend to keep it that way. But at least there's usually someone lower in the social hierarchy you can feel superior to and kick in the teeth once in a while. Even a lowly dishwasher can easily find some poor slob further down in the pecking order to sneer and spit at. So be thankful for migrant workers, prostitutes, and homeless street people.

Always remember that if everyone like you were economically secure and socially privileged like us, there would be no one left to fill all those boring, dangerous, low-paid jobs in our economy. And no one to fight our wars for us, or blindly follow orders in our totalitarian corporate institutions. And certainly no one to meekly go to their grave without having lived a full and creative life. So please, keep up the good work!

You also probably don't have the same greedy, compulsive drive to possess wealth, power, and prestige that we have. And even though you may sincerely want to change the way you live, you're also afraid of the very change you desire, thus keeping you and others like you in a nervous state of limbo. So you go through life mechanically playing your assigned social role, terrified what others would think should you ever dare to "break out of the mold."

Naturally, we try to play you off against each other whenever it suits our purposes: high-waged workers against low-waged, unionized against non-unionized, Black against White, male against female, American workers against Japanese against Mexican against.... We continually push your wages down by invoking "foreign competition," "the law of supply and demand," "national security," or "the bloated federal deficit." We throw you on the unemployed scrap heap if you step out of line or jeopardize our profits. And to give you an occasional break from the monotony of our daily economic blackmail, we allow you to participate in our stage-managed electoral shell games, better known to you ordinary folks as "elections." Happily, you haven't a clue as to what's really happening — instead, you blame "Aliens," "Tree-hugging Environmentalists," "Niggers," "Jews," Welfare Queens," and countless others for your troubled situation.

We're also very pleased that many of you still embrace the "work ethic," even though most jobs in our economy degrade the environment, undermine your physical and emotional health, and basically suck your one and only life right out of you. We obviously don't know much about work, but we're sure glad you do!

Of course, life could be different. Society could be intelligently organized to meet the real needs of the general population. You and others like you could collectively fight to free yourselves from our domination. But you don't know that. In fact, you can't even imagine that another way of life is possible. And that's probably the greatest, most significant achievement of our system — robbing you of your imagination, your creativity, your ability to think and act for yourself.

So we'd truly like to thank you from the bottom of our heartless hearts. Your loyal sacrifice makes possible our corrupt luxury; your work makes our system work. Thanks so much for "knowing your place" — without even knowing it!

Unhinged: The Adidas "Shackle" Sneakers

The "Handcuff" Roundhouse Mid by Jeremy Scott.
Retailed for $350, that is, before its final stage in mass production, was cancelled.

An underlining concept of the fool and his money becomes a sadistic joke originating from pedestaled designers.

Perhaps the Jeremy Scott crew was inspired from watching the hilarity that occurred nationwide several months ago with another shoe phenomenon:

A sadistic game indeed, that fosters a sense of urgency from both the mentally manipulated and the manipulator-predator.  An isolated individual with a false superiority complex, usually very bored, taking great pleasure and effort to observe human reaction. To test what would come forth as a result of his/her creation, that is, with test subjects nowhere nearly affiliated with their fraternity.

This is an investigation of mutual responsibility on the behalf of both parties, another insult toward Human intelligence and progression, in addition to being a grand testament toward the power of Human conditioning and Modern Mind-Lock!

A Mind Game that showcases dominance among the top of the mental food chain.  Allowing those who subscribe to suggestion over fashion, politics, and religion to be drawn out to the public for shameful ridicule, which self-perpetuates a lack of self-confidence and self-identity.

As far as the Shackle reference, well, I've prepared a lengthy rebuttal.
Six months ago.
Dusting it off now, enjoy.

Walmart 'Too Big To Sue' - Supreme Court

Its looks like we are starting to realize that we have to organize!

The Art of Capitalism has made another advancement of stripping away rights and deliberation away from people of the "common class".
Significant leverage opposing a group of allegedly discriminated employees was used in order for them to shut their mouths and get back to work, like the slave-dogs that they are...

Debates with Capitalist Conservatives, Vol.2- Chapter 2

Volume 2 - Chapter 2

Behold, the masses (Their identities shall be concealed for their own
protection):

Topic: NBC's Golf Tournament Pledge of Allegiance

There shouldn't have to be a "pledge" to begin with.
Mankind should have enough mental capacity to operate independently without having to recite some ritual, some holy chant.

Surely we have evolved as a species to acknowledge free will & thought rather than relying on patriotic (fascist) psychology.

Now that "under God" was removed, there drew up a high level of hostility.

Seems counter-productive to argue about an omission like this, if in fact, living "under God" is an absolute truth.

Is the sky blue? Yes

Are lemons sour? You betcha

Living "under God"? Well....Some say yes, some say no.
·  Kathy H.
O.K. who made the sky blue and the lemons sour? Science every day is evolving to the belief that all this just didn't happen, it had to be designed and planned. So again I ask who made the sky blue and the lemons sour?
-Tim E-fat Smith
Electro-signals tell our brains that it is sour.
Gravitational and atmospheric conditions create the hues in the sky.

Saying some merciful (and recently, quite vengeful) entity created....everything, is too simple and doesn't challenge the brain.

God has no place on national broadcasting, keep it on the 700-Club or something.

That way it can appeal to a target audience.

-Jan P.
all people who believe in GOD including golfers should have walked off that tournament but thats right we dont stand up to our beliefs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Kathy H.
O.K. Who made the electro-signals that tell my brain that it is sour and the gravity and atmospheric conditions that create the hues in the sky? God has every place in our whole world because He not only created it He owns it. As for vengeful, does a father not punish a child? We make our own choices, making the one to deny His presence and not accept His love and forgiveness is an eternal one.
-Jan P.
be still and know i am GOD
-Jan P.
you said it kathy we need to pray for who ever did that as hard as it will be to pray for them
-Liz W.
Thank you, NBC, for omitting "under God" - wording that was added to the Pledge in 1954 during the McCarthy era. The "under God" wording unnecessarily excludes millions of Americans who don't believe the nation is under a deity. Don't be bullied by a million comments presenting only one point of view. The version of the pledge that you ran - the original one - is actually inclusive of all Americans. Bravo!
-Kathy H.
We need to pray for our country, it is going to hell in a hand basket. Too many people want to deny who, what, when and why this country came about and what made it the country it is today, or should I say was 30 years ago. Since then it has been torn to shreds by the people crying politically correct at Gods expense. I pity those that never get it, God loves them but making the wrong choice is a mistake with eternal ramifications.
-Jan Samonie Panek
yes unfortunately there are ignorant people who dont get it but it is in GODs hands
-Tim E-fat Smith
"under God" influenced a fellowship towards God & country, something people desperately needed during those turbulent times 50-years ago.
That also brought in many of the standards of Capitalism that has also run amok lately.

Thus being mandated into American society as the "go-to" source for reasoning and some sheer veil granting us instant stability.

Faith in God should have been designated differently, as a hobby or past-time.
-Ace S.

Our forefathers insistence on a separation of Church and State DOES NOT mean that no one is allowed to publicly declare a belief in a god. The founding fathers came here from a country where the church was run by the state (Church of England), where religious beliefs were mandated by law. The religious persecution is what they fled, not the belief in God. Nowhere in our constitution does it say that political leaders, schools or even television broadcast companies are not allowed to have or state religious beliefs, only that you cannot be forced by the state to adhere to a specific religion. To insist that any utterance of a belief in God by anyone in any position of public service is unconstitutional is ludicrous.

-Andrew R.

boooo NBC!

-Tim E-fat Smith

The early states were already divided concerning religious beliefs.
Thus the need to prohibit the federal government, or any national institution, to take sides with any one religion. There's so many tribes & denominations here in America, you can't stamp all of the public addresses with one type of God. Oh wait, there doing it anyway, looks like money talks, huh? Funny we are still up and arms about this matter 200-years later and still going nowhere fast...
-Jan P.
tim smith there will allways be a divide between GOD you know as will as i the people coming in our country now dont like GOD or JESUS and we are expected to change thats wrong you can talk about way back when all you want im talking now
-Charlie K.
Tim
this will be my last reply to the topic, because I feel enough has been said. Also, NBC does not deserve any recognition which may prompt further episodes. I will continue to evade NBC stations, networks and those who purchase advertizing space with them.

Although you seem to be an intelegent person, Just like many in your camp you have chosen to be where you are today. I do say that is your right. Remain where you are until the end of time. If I am wrong then what have I hurt. If you are wrong, whoa to you on the last day. Oh, by the way you "will" bow your knee.

'nough said. Good talking to you and all the others. Keep the faith. and, never throw pearls to ...........
-Tim E-fat Smith
Amen to that. Throw salt over my shoulder. Burn the candle on my mantle. Do the hokey-pokey and turn my self around...
